Frequently Asked Questions

What is the annual campaign?
learn more

Each year, Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School must raise enough private support to close the gap between tuition and the real cost of educating our students. We do that through our Annual Campaign. Unrestricted gifts, including net proceeds from our fundraising events, also help us close that gap.

Why not just raise tuition so that it fully covers costs?
learn more

If tuition was increased to cover the actual cost of all programs, many families could not afford to send their children here. We are committed to keeping the cost of tuition as moderate as possible.

Is giving to the Annual Campaign unique to our school?
learn more

No. Very few, if any, independent schools meet full operational costs with tuition alone. They, too, rely on the generosity and loyalty of their community of supporters.

How much should we give?
learn more

Only you can decide. Remember that all gifts to the Annual Campaign, no matter the size, are valuable both for the long term sustainability they provide and the messages they send. When we reach 100% participation by parents, grandparents and alumni – those who are arguably closest to the school – we send a powerful message to others that Mirowitz is a learning community worth supporting.
