To prepare to change the world, you must see the world!
Each year of middle school includes an adventure designed to give the students a profound look at world issues, to engage them in personal values clarification and offer a deeper understanding of our collective responsibility to better the world.
The students return energized, and embark on a year-long project to impact change.
The trips are on a 3-year rotation:
Civil Rights
A week in Montgomery, Memphis, Birmingham and Selma hearing first-hand stories from Civil Rights activists.
Environmental Sustainability
A visit to a state park where students learn to be stewards of the earth.
World Hunger
A simulation experience at Heifer Ranch that raises awareness, empathy and a drive to find solutions to world hunger
