Last week, the financial literacy elective had two guest speakers. Beck Amitin, aunt to Mirowitz students, shared their banking expertise, teaching our students about writing checks correctly, avoiding fraud, and understanding ATMs and cash counting. Beck offered valuable tips on preventing scams, having a signature by age 16, and memorizing their social security number.

Ken Levine, Morah Leiba’s husband and Finance Manager at Seeger Toyota, spoke about car financing, loans, credit scores, and how T-Bills influence interest rates. The class explored leasing and even created scenarios with their favorite cars!

Our students enjoyed engaging with these real-life lessons, asking thoughtful questions and learning from experts in the room.
