חגים
holidays
Mirowitz students have both the skills and the enthusiasm to make observance of Jewish holidays meaningful, relevant, authentic and fun.
Each year, they develop a deeper understanding of the texts, stories, values, ritual items and mitzvot associated with Jewish holidays. Our older students creatively apply what they have learned in class to develop school-wide holiday celebrations.
The cycle of Jewish holidays throughout the year provides many opportunities to practice our school's core values:
Rosh HaShanah is for Tikkun (Repair)
Yom Kippur is for Kavod (Respect)
Sukkot is for Simhah (Intentional Joy)
Hanukkah is for Hakarat HaTov (Gratitude)
Purim is for Kehillah (Community)
Pesah is for Bitahon (Safety)
Shavu’ot is for Limmud (Learning)
