Students at Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School understand well their obligation to repair the world. But it’s not all talk. Every day they are empowered to turn that understanding into action…but Tuesday lunch is special.

That’s when social action clubs spend their lunch together making a difference. They discuss ways they can help disaster victims or animals, how they can fight disease or injustice. They organize campaigns, collections and events (movie nights, lemonade stands or math-athons, for example). Most importantly, they learn through experience that you don’t have to be a grown-up to begin the work of repairing the world.
