Living the Story of Pesach at Mirowitz

March 29, 2026

Dear Mirowitz Community,

There are moments in the calendar that ask more of us than remembrance. They ask us to feel, to reflect, and to reimagine who we are and who we are becoming. Pesach is one of those moments.

This year, perhaps more than ever, the themes of freedom, hope, and liberation feel close to the surface. We tell the story each year — of a people who found their way forward even when the path was unclear, even when the way seemed blocked. It is not simply a story of the past. It is a living narrative, one that calls each of us to consider how we move from constraint toward possibility, from fear toward courage, from wandering toward purpose.

I see that story unfolding every day here at Mirowitz.

In our classrooms, in our hallways, in the quiet and not-so-quiet moments of learning, our students are given the gift of freedom — the freedom to learn in the ways they learn best, to discover their voices, and to pursue their highest aspirations. That kind of freedom is not accidental. It is cultivated with care, with intention, and with deep belief in who our children are and who they can become.

I am especially struck this year by our 7th and 8th Grade students, who pivoted their plans and will travel to the East Coast — to New York, Philadelphia, and Boston — to explore the story of our people in the diaspora. There is something profoundly aligned with Pesach in that journey. It is a reminder that we are a people who know how to adapt, to persevere, and to make a way when there is none. Our students are not just learning history; they are stepping into it, carrying forward a legacy of resilience and renewal.

As we gather around our tables, tell our stories, and ask our questions, may we feel the fullness of this season. May we hold close the people we love and respect. May we recognize the blessings that surround us, even as we continue to strive toward a more just, more compassionate, and more hopeful world.

I count myself deeply blessed to be part of this community — to learn alongside your children, to work with such dedicated colleagues, and to share in the life of Mirowitz.

From all of us, to all of you, we wish you a Pesach filled with meaning, connection, and joy.

בברכת חג פסח כשר ושמח

With gratitude,
