What’s Rising at Mirowitz

November 2, 2025

Dear Mirowitz Community,

With the High Holidays and parent–teacher conferences now in the rearview mirror, we find ourselves entering one of the most important stretches of the school year. For nearly three weeks—right up to November 25—we have uninterrupted time to be together as a full community of learners, teachers, and families. This is when the everyday rhythm of school life settles in: the morning greetings, the patient reminders, the steady hum of growth that happens when children feel known and seen.

Remind a friend to join us this week at Taste of Mirowitz, our virtual Open House.  We invite all 4th-7th grader families to join us at our 6th–8th Grade Open House.  Both of these programs are vital opportunities for families across St. Louis to experience what makes Mirowitz distinct. These moments are not just recruitment events; they are affirmations of who we are—a joyful, rigorous, deeply connected Jewish day school community that continues to refine and reimagine its best self through our ongoing strategic revisioning work with the Board and faculty.

We are also pleased to welcome Linda Keener, our new Business Manager, to the Mirowitz family.

Linda brings a strong background in financial oversight and independent-school operations, and she will be an invaluable partner as we strengthen the systems that support our teachers and students.

So as we look ahead to November, let’s keep our eyes on what is rising: hope, stability, and the confidence that our shared work—rooted in kavod and simcha—matters deeply. Together, we will continue to build a school where every child can thrive, and every family feels that they belong.

B’shalom,
Brian Thomas
