Jewish learning at Mirowitz has two components: Judaic Studies and Judaic Integration.
Judaic Studies is time dedicated each week to lessons about Torah and its commentaries, Jewish holidays, ethics and values, Jewish history and the Land of Israel.
Judaic Integration is the way any of those topics can be woven into the general studies curriculum. A poetry unit, for example, may include the work of Israeli poets, or challenge students to write poetry in Hebrew. A class project about the prairie might also teach children about their sacred obligation to safeguard the Earth’s ecosystem (Shomrei Adamah). Every subject offers opportunities to integrate meaningful Jewish moments and to see the world through Jewish eyes.
