Mirowitz teachers and parents are a team. Together we celebrate a child’s greatness, and together we work through challenging moments. Together we strive to give them an idyllic childhood and also to “teach them to swim.”
There’s a text in the Talmud that says that parents must teach their children three things: Torah, a trade and to swim. At Mirowitz, in a sacred parent-teacher partnership, we nourish the soul, we prepare children for success in life and teach them to stay afloat amidst the rocky waters that inevitably will come their way.
Tonight begins parent teacher conferences. We hope you are embracing this opportunity to connect as your child’s team of adults who will share information about academic progress, and discuss both strengths and challenges.
But our work goes far beyond the mechanics of the conference…for we know that the job of raising children is holy work. We want for your children what you want for them: that your children thrive in the classroom and on the playground, that they feel both challenged and successful, that they recognize the good in themselves and in each other.
The best way to help move every child to her or his potential is together, as a team of loving adults. Thanks in advance for taking the time to partner with us! We look forward to seeing you on Zoom.
Shabbat Shalom,
Cheryl
